Postpartum Care

Postpartum care is care after your delivery. It includes your time in the hospital in addition to 6 weeks after delivery. We provide answers to any questions you may have once you are home. These include questions/concerns about bleeding, pain, problems with any incisions, breastfeeding, etc. Typically once you leave the hospital you will not be seen again until 6 weeks following your delivery. At your postpartum visit your physician will make sure your body has recovered from pregnancy and birth and that you are not having any problems. You can use this time to discuss breastfeeding, weight loss, sex, sadness, etc. This is also a good time to discuss birth control with your physician.
